Venice is the Mecca of Italy and is definitely worth a visit for anyone visiting Europe. The city is surrounded by water, interlaced with canals, year around warm weather, friendly people and a rich history. There are many luxury hotels in Venice. It is not a big city and thus it is really not important where one stays but you probably want to find the very best in accommodation. There is ample accommodation around the entire city at all price ranges. However, transportation by taxi can be pricey and the gondolas can be slow.

Therefore, the best places to stay in Venice are the central area. Venice has its share of luxury hotels. In the NW corner district of Santa Lucia where the railway station is located, there are many boutique hotels located. Besides the railway station, gondolas connect to almost all points of the city. The hotel Boscolo Bellini is a great four-star hotel but the area is a tad bit noisy.

In the south west corner is the old Venice with its small narrow streets and you will find it is much quieter. There are no five star luxury hotels in this area but a number of three star boutique hotels are located here, including the Palazzo Odoni. This nice trendy boutique hotel has excellent room décor and a wonderful cafeteria.

In the heart of Venice near San Polo area is where the action is. Hotel Palazzo Barbario is a classic boutique hotel. From here, access to everything in Venice is within walking distance.

Just next to San Polo is the San Marco district, which has all the beautiful cathedrals and museums. The two great luxury hotels include the Albergo Cavalletto and the Hotel Colombina. Both are delicately decorated with hand made Italian furniture and offer a superb view of the sea. Their restaurants offer exquisite fining dining based on Venetian and Mediterranean cuisine.

The Castella area is close to St. Mark’s square and for the romantic-minded, it offers a memorable view of the lagoon. Located here is the five star luxury Hotel Metropole. This Venice luxury hotel, a little pricey has some of the best cuisine in all of Venice to please the most demanding palates.

Just north of St. Mark’s square is the Castella area and here you will find the city’s most famous promenade, Riva Degli Schiavoni. Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is a super four-star boutique hotel which excellent service and delicious cappuccinos.

For the individual who want serenity and solitude, the Santa Elena district allows one to share time with nature. Here there are no elegant boutique hotels but there is a great bed and breakfast place called, La Rosa dei Venti.

Most of the luxury hotels in Venice are affordable and offer great service. Venetian food and home made pizzas can be bought almost everywhere. Because the city has lots of tourists in the summer, the best time to visit Venice is autumn and spring. Most travel agents and airlines offer great discounts if you book air and hotel accommodation at the same time. Be sure to stay at one of the Venice luxury hotels when you go.

What most people do not know is that there are many other places in the USA to visit besides Nevada, Florida, NY, and California. One of the top tourist destinations today is New Mexico. This southern state is blessed with all year warm weather, rich American history, relatively cheap and luxury hotels in New Mexico for the tourist.

New Mexico has a rich tradition of mining, ranching and of being a railroad town. The state has some of the most beautiful scenic drives. There are more national parks and monuments than almost another southern state but New Mexico is not all about history. It also has many of the country’s top institutions located here including Los Alamos, Sandia National Laboratories and the several observatories.

Since the early days, New Mexico has been a stop over State for many visitors and over this time, it has built some great accommodations in the way of luxury hotels and resorts. New Mexico has all types of vacation and luxury hotels to suit every budget. There are exclusive health clubs, exotic spas, and high-end resorts. From the sophisticated luxury hotels to the rustic hot springs, one can find a place to sit and soak the sun/warm waters just about anywhere in New Mexico.

In the Southern part of the State, The Inn of the Mountain Gods Resorts and Casino offers luxurious accommodations with superb scenery. The other benefits of staying here include world class skiing and some of the most beautiful golf courses in the country. For some one seeking more privacy and luxury at the same time, Blackstone Hot Spring offers super lodgings and a hot spring spa.

In the center of the State, near Pueblo, there is the Magnificent Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa. Set near the majestic Rio Grande River, the hotel provides an impressive view of the surroundings. It offers the visitor paradise.

For those who are budget minded, fear not. New Mexico has ample other luxury hotels which cater to all type of budgets. The majority of luxury hotels are situated in the scenic south.

Because New Mexico is fairly cheap, it is always full of tourists. Therefore, if you are looking for luxury accommodation, it is best to go online and book early. The best time to visit New Mexico are Spring and Autumn.
